North Lake Tahoe Bonanza: The Cooking Queens are at it again for Project MANA. This time they plan to have everyone “Pucker Up,” as they show exactly what a lemon can be used for as they entertain and cook.
In case you don't know, the cooking queens are locals Cindy McClelland and Bonanza Publisher Mary Jurkonis and for the last five years they have been hosting special cooking classes to support Project MANA. They are probably the most well-known cooks in Incline Village.
Their special cooking classes are a fun and entertaining way that they have found to share recipes, give a taste of the recipes and help out Project MANA at the same time. The classes have become very popular with many guests returning to experience each new class.
The current class, Pucker Up, is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center kitchen. The class size is limited so it is always best to sign up early. And the only cost for the class is a donation of $30 per person to Project MANA.
If cooking and recipes do not happen to be something you want to do this summer, you can still support Project MANA by sending a $30 donation and help support those in need in our own community. Project MANA continues to provide for our community year round and need support especially in the summer months.
So help out the Cooking Queens by supporting Project MANA today. For information you can call (775) 298-0008 and watch for other great cooking ideas from the Queens.
And pucker up for Project MANA.
