Community Gardens

Gardens in Truckee, Kings Beach, and Incline Village provide space for gardening and demonstrate the nutritional and economic value of growing fresh produce. Classes are held each season and a high-altitude gardening manual is available.

  • Time Commitment: Flexible, minimum one month commitment, dependent on season and volunteer availability
  • Vehicle: Not required, must have transportation to garden

Position Description

  • Assist in the preparation of the garden for winter, including repairs and planting
  • Assist in the planting of the garden in the spring, including maintenance (weeding, watering), and harvest in the summer and fall months
  • Instruct/Assist in gardening classes for adults and youth
