Tahoe Mountain Club Organizes Its Ninth Annual Holiday Cooking Demo
To Benefit Project MANA’s Hunger-Relief Efforts in the Truckee/North Tahoe Community

Truckee, CA, November 2010- For nine years, Tahoe Mountain Club has hosted the annual HolidayCooking Demonstration, a fundraiser to support Project MANA. Tahoe Mountain Club is pleased toannounce that this year’s event will be held at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, allowing more communitymembers to come enjoy the event. “We are excited to partner with The Ritz-Carlton this year,” saysKendra McGargill, TMC Events Manager. “Their facility will really help bring this event to the next level.”

The evening showcases six local fine dining chefs, each preparing a small-plated course which is pairedwith wine from Truckee River Winery, The Pour House, Uncorked, Pomelo, Calina and Brutocao Cellars.Chefs in attendance this year will be representing local restaurants including Baxter’s, Christy Hill, Farmto Belly, Manzanita, Moody’s, Pacific Crest Grill and Wild Goose. Mike Trombetta, of Farm to BellyPersonal Chef Services, has volunteered at the event for the past two years. “It’s all about eating, andI love to eat,” he says. “So I’m happy to do anything I can to bring good food to the community. That’swhy I love Project MANA-. It’s one of my favorite local charities to support.”

Throughout the evening, guests are invited to browse the silent auction tables, featuring great itemsfrom nearly one hundred local vendors. Following dinner, the dynamic duo of Porter & Simon willpresent the Live Auction packages.

All proceeds from this event go to help Project MANA dramatically reduce the incidence of hunger andits detrimental effects upon individuals, families, the community, and the region. Past Holiday CookingDemonstrations have typically raised between $16,000 and $18,000 for Project MANA, representing oneof the largest single fundraising events of the year for the organization. This year, Tahoe Mountain Clubhopes to exceed those numbers.
